Dr. Baker is a board-certified physician specializing in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) with advanced fellowship training in Interventional Spine and Musculoskeletal Medicine. Originally from Plano, Texas, he has proudly called North Carolina home since 2021, where he has enjoyed treating and serving patients throughout the region. 

Dr. Baker earned his undergraduate degree from Brigham Young University before receiving his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from Touro University Nevada, where he was recognized with scholarships and Dean’s List honors throughout medical school and contributed to award-winning research focused on the importance of empathy and compassionate care in medicine. He completed his residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the University of North Carolina (UNC), where he developed expertise in the comprehensive, non-operative management of musculoskeletal and neurologic conditions. He then completed a fellowship in Interventional Spine and Musculoskeletal Medicine at Atrium Wake Forest Baptist, gaining advanced training in the evaluation and treatment of spine and musculoskeletal conditions. 

As a physician with North Carolina Orthopaedic Clinic (NCOC), Dr. Baker specializes in the non-surgical evaluation and treatment of conditions affecting the cervical spine, thoracic spine, lumbar spine, and other musculoskeletal disorders. His practice emphasizes individualized, evidence-based care through non-operative treatment options and minimally invasive procedures designed to relieve pain, restore function, and improve quality of life. Dr. Baker is passionate about providing compassionate, patient-centered care for individuals of all ages. He enjoys partnering with each patient to develop personalized treatment plans that help them return to the activities they love and achieve their functional goals. 

Outside of medicine, Dr. Baker enjoys spending time with his wife and their four young boys. Together, they love exploring North Carolina, watching and playing sports, and gathering around the table for a great board game.
