Does hip pain keep you from participating in activities that were once a part of everyday life? Do you find it difficult to sit down, stand up, or walk around? For many individuals with chronic hip pain, conservative treatments are enough to relieve their symptoms and get them back to their routine. But in some instances, relief can’t be achieved without surgical intervention.
If that’s the case for you, you can turn to the specialists at North Carolina Orthopaedic Clinic. We’ve been serving the Durham, North Carolina, community since 2003 and we’re pleased to have skilled hip surgeons on our team. When you partner with us for hip pain treatment, you can look forward to receiving specialized care and personalized service.
Offering Hip Replacements & Revisions
The hip surgeons at our office have extensive experience performing hip replacement procedures. The hip is a ball-and-socket joint, and during total hip replacement surgery, we replace the ball (femoral head) and socket (acetabulum) components. Some patients may require only partial hip replacement surgery, which involves replacing the ball but not the socket.
Our hip surgeons also have experience performing hip revision procedures. This surgery is appropriate for patients who have already undergone a hip replacement. If the prosthetic components have been damaged since the initial procedure—whether due to infection or everyday wear and tear—we can use hip revision surgery to address the issue.
